Caucus for Jena

Help Jena make the ballot for Colorado AG!

As Colorado Democrats prepare for the monthlong Caucus and Assembly process in March, 2026, one of the biggest ways you can help Jena is to participate in that process! Caucus and Assembly is how candidates are selected for the June Democratic Primary ballot, and Jena’s grassroots team needs everyone’s help organizing a strong turnout in every community across all 64 of Colorado’s counties.

The process involves three consecutive meetings, with participation in each meeting deciding the delegates to the next meeting:

  1. Precinct Caucus: March 3-7: These are neighborhood (or virtual) meetings organized by your county Democratic Party. At this meeting, participants elect delegates to county assembly - many counties have an “open” process, with no cap on the delegates to County Assembly!

  2. County Assembly: March 3-14: These meetings are held in your county or virtually, depending on your county’s format. Many counties hold this meeting back to back right after the Caucus! At this meeting, participants elect delegates to State Assembly.

  3. State Assembly: Saturday, March 28 in Pueblo. This is where the final vote takes place to determine the Democratic Party’s candidates for the June 2026 Primary! A candidate must get at least 30% of the delegates to qualify. The candidate with the most delegates is listed first on the ballot!
