EMILYs List, 30 Colorado Leaders and Organizations Endorse Griswold for Attorney General
Campaign continues to gain momentum
Denver, CO — EMILYs List, the nation’s leading organization supporting pro-choice Democratic women for office, along with more than 30 other Colorado leaders and organizations, have endorsed Jena Griswold’s campaign for Colorado Attorney General. Joining EMILYs List are the Colorado Building and Construction Trades Council, the Colorado Professional Firefighters, and State Senator Tony Exum.
Griswold has now earned more than 220 endorsements, including over 150 current and former elected officials, 29 sitting state legislators, 23 current and former county commissioners, dozens of mayors and other municipal leaders, and 17 labor unions.
President of EMILYs List Jessica Mackler said, “Jena Griswold is running for attorney general to protect Coloradans from the Trump Administration’s chaotic and cruel attacks. As secretary of state, she has emerged as a fierce defender of our democracy and one of the strongest voices pushing back against Donald Trump and MAGA extremists. EMILYs List is proud to endorse her in the race to become Colorado’s first Democratic woman attorney general, and we look forward to standing with her in this election fight.”
Kevin Reichenbach, President of the Colorado Professional Firefighters said, “Jena Griswold has been a great partner and supporter of firefighters as Secretary of State and we know she will continue to fight for workers as Attorney General. The Colorado Professional Fire Fighters are proud to join unions around the state supporting Jena Griswold for Attorney General.”
“Under Secretary Jena Griswold’s leadership, Colorado has become the gold standard for elections and ensuring everyone has safe, convenient access to the ballot,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “In the face of unprecedented attacks on voting rights, she’s been on the front lines defending people’s voices in our democracy and making sure elections are free, fair, and accessible to everyone. She will bring her pragmatic leadership to the Attorney General’s office, and we are proud to endorse her.”
“It’s an incredible honor to have earned the support of EMILYs List and these incredible leaders from across our state,” said Jena Griswold. “I’m running for Attorney General because Colorado needs a strong, proven leader in this critical moment. That’s why as Attorney General, I will stand up to Donald Trump to protect our rights and freedoms, defend the Colorado way of life, and fight for fairness and justice.”
To date, Jena Griswold has raised more than $1.2 million, with over 10,000 individual contributions from 5,900 donors and the lowest donation average. Griswold is also polling ahead of her closest opponent by 34 points and earning nearly three times as much support as all of the other candidates combined.
