Leaders across Colorado back Griswold’s campaign for Colorado’s top legal job
DENVER, Colo. – Dozens of current and former elected officials have endorsed Jena Griswold’s campaign for Attorney General. Endorsements include former U.S. Congressman Ed Perlmutter, former Denver Mayor and U.S. Secretary of Transportation and Energy Federico Peña, former Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, former Speaker of the House Dickey Lee Hullinghorst, two labor organizations, and many more.
“I’ve seen Jena Griswold stand up every day for Coloradans,” said Perlmutter. “I know that when we elect her as attorney general, Colorado will have a strong leader who will protect our people, our environment and our freedoms.”
“I am proud to support Jena Griswold for attorney general,” said Peña. “She’ll stand up to protect working people, consumers and our communities.”
“In these unprecedented times, Colorado needs Jena Griswold as our next attorney general,” said Hullinghorst. “She will defend us from Donald Trump’s overreach and ensure that Colorado remains a stronghold of democracy, freedom and prosperity.”
Griswold launched her campaign for attorney general last month and raised more than $185,000 dollars in 24 hours, the most of any statewide candidate in Colorado history according to Colorado Politics. Her launch included the endorsement of over 100 current and former elected officials, unions, and community leaders.
“As Colorado’s next attorney general, I’ll fight Donald Trump’s extreme agenda and protect the Colorado way of life,” said Griswold. “I am grateful our campaign has earned the support of so many Colorado leaders and so many Coloradans.”
