Poll Shows Griswold with dominant position in Democratic Attorney General Primary
DENVER: A recent poll of 800 likely voters in Colorado’s 2026 Democratic primary, conducted by Global Strategy Group, shows that Secretary of State Jena Griswold is in a dominant position in the race for Colorado Attorney General. Griswold is polling 39% ahead of her closest opponent - with over six times more support. In fact, Griswold has over twice the support of all her primary opponents combined. Since June 2025, Griswold’s support has increased from 42% to 46% now.

Andrew Baumann, Partner at Global Strategy Group, said, “Jena Griswold holds a commanding position in the Attorney General primary because Democratic primary voters know her and like her record of standing up to Trump. Her opponents have yet to register with the electorate in any meaningful way.”
As Secretary of State, Jena Griswold led the fight to defend democracy against Donald Trump. As Attorney General, she’ll stand up to Trump and MAGA extremists to protect our democracy and fundamental rights.
When Tina Peters compromised her county’s voting equipment to try to prove Trump’s election conspiracies, Griswold held her accountable. After January 6th, Griswold called for Trump to be removed from Colorado’s ballot because he incited the insurrection, despite facing death threats. And Griswold is being sued by Trump because she refused to turn over Coloradans’ sensitive voter data to the federal government. As Attorney General, Griswold will continue standing up to Trump, and will protect our rights, abortion access, and democracy.
This poll comes on the heels of Griswold winning topline at state assembly. Campaign Manager Zach Stout said, “Our campaign has the momentum to win, and Griswold has robust support because of her track record of protecting our democracy and standing up to Trump.”
