Griswold Breaks Fundraising record

Griswold raised more than $800,000, more than any AG candidate has ever raised in any individual fundraising period.

DENVER, Colo.— Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold today announced that she raised over $800,000 in the first fundraising quarter of her campaign for Attorney General. The fundraising numbers are more than than any AG candidate has ever raised in any individual fundraising period, and show the strong and growing grassroots support for Griswold’s bid for Attorney General. Griswold received thousands of contributions from all corners of the state.

“Coloradans are sending a clear message: we need an Attorney General who will protect our state from the Trump Administration, defend reproductive freedoms, and fight for working families,” Griswold said. “I am humbled and energized by this support, and look forward to continuing to fight for all Coloradans,” she said.

The Numbers: 

  • Over $800,000 raised this quarter

  • Over 5,300 donations from more than 3,800 individuals, over 77% of contributions from Colorado

  • Over $695,000 Cash on Hand

  • Average contribution: $154

About Jena Griswold

Griswold is running for Colorado Attorney General to protect our rights and freedoms, and to protect the Colorado way of life. Griswold was elected as Secretary of State in 2018 and reelected in 2022. Her accomplishments as Colorado’s chief election officer include increasing drop boxes and in-person voting centers, implementing automatic voter registration, and providing voters with tools to track their ballot from mailing to counting. 

Prior to becoming Secretary of State, Griswold practiced international anti-corruption law, business law, election law, and ran a small business. She also served as the Director of the Governor of Colorado’s Washington, D.C. Office. Griswold earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She lives in Louisville with her husband Mario and their son.
